Science of Self is committed to serving all people with knowledge, skill and kindness.

We are proud to offer SOS Service as the next step to further our practice. In the lineage of our great teachers and community activists, we work towards providing healing services to all. It is our mission to share the teachings of yoga and traditional chinese medicine through Meridian Yoga Therapy services which have a profound impact on the lives of those in need.

Our own wounds lead us into serving others. We are one.

Our clients come from different backgrounds and experience different stressors. Whether clients experience stress from managing substance use, being marginally housed, dealing with incarceration, or from the daily pace of modern life, everyone can benefit from our Meridian Yoga Therapy services.

If you represent, or know of, a social services/community based program, a place of employment, or anyone that can benefit from our services please contact us. We create protocols and tailor services to the needs of your setting. We are flexible, adaptable and would love to partner with you!

Impact:

I love volunteering as a Meridian Therapy yoga instructor and as a practitioner of acupressure, cupping, gua cha and Moxa, helping real people work on unsticking any of their emotional blockages, helping them move any stagnate Qi, or allowing them to focus on their breath, releasing and breathing as deeply as possible to nourish the body, muscles, brain and organs while feeding their subtle energy pathways. I love the idea that helping others in reality often does more to help me. There’s something that shifts inside when you know your touch, your words, your quiet listening has allowed another individual to find compassion, love, caring and kindness inside themselves — perhaps even great love and joy — whether it’s for themselves, for others or even for you. I truly believe in the Bhakti manner of service and I’m committed to that concept in any and all ways. Given the opportunity, time and accessibility within my daily schedule, I will help others, always. I know that throughout my life, a time that seems like an entire other life, as I was dealing with drug and alcohol addiction and substance abuse, people were there for me. Certain people, certain groups never gave up on me. They helped me put one foot in front of the other. They helped me re-access my true self and heal. And now it’s my turn to give back, pay it forward, make the magic happen for someone else. There’s something greater than just the sheer personal reward of knowing that you have been or are there for another person. It makes your heart soar, picks you up from deep despair, flips your energy into a radiant embrace for not only the world outside you, but within you as well. Everyone should give of themselves. It’s the greatest and most important gift we have to give to the world. Rose Erin Vaughan’s SOS trainings have fine tuned my curiosity about the body and its anatomy, helping me delve deeper into knowledge that can help other people as well as my self, while simultaneously illuminating how much more I need to learn! Her Science of Self Teacher Trainings will make you hungry for more information, and I now realize this becomes a lifelong calling. It becomes a necessary cycle of learning the love, spreading that love, sharing the love. Volunteering to spread the knowledge, the information, the service of these trainings is imperative and I am so grateful to be able to do so. May All Beings Everywhere Be Liberated and Free of Suffering and Pain. May All That I Say, Do and Think Contribute To Making That So. xoxoxo 🙏🙏🙏🔱☀️💫💙
