After over a decade of yoga-ing around NYC, Melissa Soong studied over 600 hours of yoga and Meridian Yoga Technique with Science of Self Yoga Teacher Trainings. She is excited to share the deep experience of combining yoga asana with the body maps of Traditional Chinese Medicine by teaching Meridian Yoga and as part of the SOS team. She also manages the SOS Volunteer Outreach Program, which offers MYT to those in need throughout the city. Forever inspired by the the deep practice, knowledge, and discipline of Rose Erin Vaughan and Yoshio Hama, Melissa hopes to pass on this inspiration to others by encouraging a personal yoga practice for all. Additionally, Melissa has a masters degree in social work and is a hardcore knitter.
